Lead author was Frank Perry, with co-authors Barry Brown, Rick Hyman, and Stanley D. Stevens. The article's main purpose was to correct previous errors about wharf history. The short description states, in part (links added), that: "It has often been written that the [[Railroad wharf|Railroad Wharf]], used by the [[Santa Cruz & Felton (SC&F) Railroad|Santa Cruz and Felton Railroad]] starting in the middle 1870s, was originally the wharf built by [[Gharky, S.
