− | The SCR San Lorenzo River trestle was first built in 1875-76 to carry the Santa Cruz Railroad across the San Lorenzo River, near its mouth. The original main span was of an open (some later photographs show the sides enclosed) wood-truss design, similar to the California Powder Works covered bridge. The current steel-truss bridge dates from 1908. Adjacent to the railroad tracks, the 1908 bridge supported a narrow pedestrian bridge. The pedestrian bridge was replaced in 2019 by a wider steel structure.
