Henry Harris (1821-1868) is noted in Rowland and Sidewalk Companion as operator of the Franklin House hotel on Main (changed to Front in 1866) Street, which existed from 1859 until it burned in 1887. His wife and widow "Mrs. Sofia [Sloan] Harris" (1819-1896) was listed as owner of Franklin House in 1866, continued to run Franklin House after his death.
