Ezekiel Elliott is noted in Elliott as a Santa Cruz resident in 1879 (p.85), with a drawing of the 1876 residence and its surrounding estate (p.f68). A note in Appendix A (page A.7) of the 1997 edition states that the estate was at today's corner of Pelton Avenue and Columbia Street, where the Oceanview Apartments complex stands today, adjacent to Lighthouse Field State Beach.
