The first version of today's Mount Hermon Road bridge across the San Lorenzo River was a 2-lane steel bridge built in 1892, before today's route of Mount Hermon Road was built, so at that time, it was known simply as "Felton bridge". It was built to replace the Felton covered bridge as the main traffic crossing over the river. The current 4-lane concrete bridge was built in the 1970s.
