California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) has an extensive "digital commons" online collection of digitized historical documents, including rancho diseños/maps/surveys, WPA/BLM descriptive files, oral histories, and more. Much of the Santa Cruz County-related land-use material is in the Hornbeck Collection - Historical Land Use in California.
