In Villa de Branciforte, Rowland notes three persons with the surname Juarez living in early Branciforte, and it seems likely that they were related.

  • Joaquin Juarez was described as "an old soldier" (so possibly an invalido) as the maternal grandfather of Lucia Soria (a teen in the 1830s).
  • Manuela Juarez married Juan Jose Castro (born 1805)
  • Estefana Juarez was the wife of Robert King when he became a Santa Cruz constable in 1850.
